International Federation of Skate Soccer is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to the development of the physically challenged members of the society. Our main concern is the polio victims who dangerously beg for alms on the streets all capital cities using locally made skateboards. We want to do whatever can be done to better their living conditions. Then also extend that same help to other physically challenged too. With Skate Soccer, we are able to create an environment by Which it will make it easier to better the living conditions of the physically challenged athletes. We are dedicated to providing these physically challenged individuals a platform to showcase their amazing talents, through Skate Soccer. These events will definitely have a positive impact on them and in turn better their living conditions by getting them off the streets, through setting up income generating projects for each of them. Together we can make a big change in these individuals’ lives.

Our Main Objective

Our Main Objective

Our main objective besides raising funds from these games and programs is to eventually set these physically challenged people all up in different businesses and income generating projects. By that they will all leave the streets and live well with their families.

Our main objective on this occasion is to get this group of selected physically challenged men all of whom are beggars and live on the streets of Accra off the dangerous streets. This pilot project which will start with thirty selected physically challenged people is meant to test the sustainability of the program and based on the results through the support and assistance from organizations and individuals here in Ghana we will be able to expand to cater for more of them. Not give them money as is the case in town.

We would rather help them get money constantly and depend on themselves more. It is not enough giving the disabled money all the time on the streets when we see them along the roadside begging for alms What we should rather do is to help settle them and make them productive so that going on the road to beg will become a thing of the past. Fortunately, most of them are professionals or have professions and others also want to learn new trades as well.

This has made it easy to know what to do for them should we get the needed funding to help undertake this great project. We have decided to help them in groups and get them off the streets. We will also help them get into better and sustainable jobs or businesses that most of them already have some formal training in. This will help make life worth living for them to achieve with our help, support and guidance. families.
